5 Features You Shouldn’t Compromise On When Buying An RV

Used RV for sale in TX
A large number of people reach out to RV shopping deals with a long list of must have features and plenty of deal breakers. Some of the common items included in these lists are additional storage, indoor/outdoor kitchens, solar features and more.

As one of the leading companies selling used travel trailers in Texas, at RV Land we have dealt with thousands of clients looking for recreational vehicles.
In our experience, most clients don’t compromise on these 5 features and you shouldn’t either:

1. The size of the bathroom

You don’t really want to sit on the toilet to check it out when shopping for RV, but sticking your head in the bathroom and inspecting it is really important. It is completely okay to be that client. Also, don’t forget to stand in the shower and feel the amount of space. You can also shut the bathroom door to determine the amount of space you will have when traveling.

2. The tank size

Since you can’t really see the tank, it is quite easy to forget about it. However, when you are traveling on longer routes, you will need more water. Make sure that the RV you are purchasing can store enough water to help you handle a weekend’s worth of use.

3. Ease of movement

One of the best parts about traveling in an RV is using your own kitchen and shower while traveling. Therefore, always open the kitchen door and bathroom; check whether they allow you to move around easily without bumping here and there.

4. Curtains vs. doors

There might be RVs that replaced doors with curtains to cut down RV weight and be easily towed. While it might not seem like a big deal, consider if you can really skimp out on that privacy. Particularly when traveling with kids, you might prefer keeping the doors on the bedrooms.

5. Walk-around bed

Many people may feel silly climbing into bed when shopping for RV, but think about the inconvenience you will face a few weeks down in the camping grounds.
Don’t go for it if the bed arrangement makes you feel uncomfortable. Also, check if you can walk around the mattress. Making the bed might be a difficult task if you can’t walk around the bed easily.
These are the five features you should never compromise on when buying an RV. At RV Land we have a wide collection of used RV and new RV for Sale in Texas that offer these features and a lot more. Get in touch with us at (888) 435-0789 to discuss your needs and learn more about our services.
