RV (2006)


Bob Munro, played by the late Robin Williams, tricks his family into letting go of their vacation plans to go for a cross-country RV road trip for a much needed family-bonding time, when in fact Bob has to attend an important meeting, which if he fails attend will get him fired.

The movie depicts the misadventures that the family has to encounter on the road, and some interesting travelers that they meet. The movie is the very depiction of how travelling can change a person, or in this case an entire the family.

Little Miss Sunshine (2006)


This movie is entirely based on road travel. It depicts a family that would go to any lengths to get their young daughter into the finals of a beauty pageant.

The family embarks on a road trip in their VW bus, and has to deal with the absurdities of being a dysfunctional family.

We're the Millers (2013)


We're the Millerscould easily be among the best comedies of2013.

The movie is about David Clark, played by Jason Sudeikis, who has to pick up a “small” supply of drugs and bring it back to the USA by road. To avoid security at the border, he makes up fake family who is on a vacation in a Class A Motorhome.

When he reaches Mexico, he finds out that the supply of isn't small in any way, but is in fact two tons of marijuana. Because of the extra load, the family goes through some crazy misadventures, which are amusing and entertaining.

The Blues Brother (1980)


The Blues Brotheris a classic movie that has gained a cult following over the years. The RV is referred to as “WinneBago”, which is a leading brand in RVs.

The story is about two brothers who put together their old band to save their Catholic home, and is thoroughly entertaining move, something that the whole family can enjoy.

Captain Fantastic (2016)


When Ben, an anarchist and a father of six children, learns that his father-in-law plans to have a traditional funeral for his daughter, he embarks on a journey to fulfill his wife's last wishes. According to his wife's last testament, she wanted to be cremated and her funeral was to be a celebration of life with singing and dancing.

Ben takes his children in his RV out of the wilderness to fulfill his obligation, but learns what it truly means to be parent along the way.
