RV Kitchen Hacks: Things Every Camper Should Know

Things Every Camper Should Know
Most RVs contain beautiful and complete kitchens—some may even rival the one at your home—which makes camping even more enjoyable, and more accurately, luxurious.
Preparing your own meals also saves you a lot money and time when you are on vacation. However, storage and organization can be a big problem. You could end up leaving an important ingredient at home, preventing you from enjoying your meals. Or you could scatter everything in the kitchen when taking a sharp turn.
Here are some kitchen hacks that every camper should know to make their road trip easy:

Containers for spices

First of all, you should know which spices to carry. You wouldn’t want to carry too much or to less. You can use tick tack containers to store spices. They are small and rectangle shape and take lesser space than round containers.
The other option is of magnetic spice containers. They can stick to any flat metal strip in the kitchen, making them extremely accessible and easy to store.

Cereal Box Organizer

Cereal boxes are great for organizing foils, plastic wraps and zipper baggies. What you can do is cut the upper part of the cereal box, wrap it in wrapping paper to make it stronger and you’ll have something that looks like an office organizer. You can stuff all the long boxes of foils or even crackers into it.
This will greatly save space in the drawers, as this box can be kept anywhere on the counter.

Magnetic Knife Holder

You might have seen a magnetic knife holder before, but in an RV, it provides an important safety feature. You can mount a magnetic knife holder anywhere in the kitchen or cooking area and stick all your knives on it.
In this way, the knives will stay exactly where you put them and not scatter everywhere when you take a sharp turn. This is extremely important if you have children riding with you.

Peg Board

Stacking the pots and pans is a hassle even in the house. Imagine the nuisance they create when you decide to take them along on your journey. Overhead racks are the worst place to keep pans and pots in; they create a safety hazard.
Why not mount a peg board on the RV and tie some hooks on it. Then hang all the pans and pots on the hooks, in a neat and organized way. Not only will it save storage space, but will also give you easy access to every utensil.

Cabinet Doors

Stick PVC pipes or magazine holders with strong double size tape on the inside of the cabinet doors. This can prove to be an invaluable storage hack as you can store electronic gadgets, food boxes and other items in them.
